.: FCA Info

The purpose of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is to tell students about Jesus Christ, study the Bible, have fellowship with each other, and praise and worship God through music and fun. Our vision is to see the world impacted for Christ by everyday students and our mission is to present students with the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and serving Him in our relationships and fellowship.

GENERAL INFO: (All TJ students are always welcome to the below regardless of religious views or previous FCA attendance)
FCA meets several times a week in school. Huddles on Wednesday's 8th Period (A-Block) provide time to hang out with other Christians, sing worship music, learn about God and play fun friendship-building activities and games. Huddles are a great time to get familiar with FCA. Bible Studies during A-Blocks Friday provide time to learn more about God's Word and grow in your relationship with Him. Most weeks a JLC Bible Study is held on Thursdays at 8:30 in room 145. Leadership meetings take place on Tuesdays during lunch in room 242A where students meet and plan FCA events. FCA also has many out-of-school events throughout the year, check the left panel or with the FCA leaders for more information!

NATIONAL FCA:
TJ FCA is part of the national Fellowship of Christian Athletes association. Student leaders meet with an adult FCA representative once a week during leadership meetings for coaching, updates and support. More can be found out about the national FCA organization on their website at FCA.org

FCA's Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death thrvough His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinfvul men (women) regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
