Welcome to Namaste! We're really excited to see all the freshman that are showing interest in the club so far!
The purpose of Namaste is really to make people aware of Indian culture, and make people more educated about some
of the festivals and tradition that are held in India. Throughout the school year, there are many events in which
you can participate in including International Night, Dhamaka, Holi, and Bhangra Bash. Every year, these events are
a ton of fun and they really bring the club and the people together!
~International Night
International Night is a time when a lot of different cultures share their music and talents. Namaste usually has a girls dance, a guys dance, and a couples dance for International Night. I Night 2009 was a tremendous success! Photos have been posted and videos are coming soon!
~Bhangra Bash
Bhangra is an indian form of dancing that started in the Punjab region of India. It incorporates a lot of rhythm and is a very lively kind of dancing. Bhangra Bash happens a little later than International Night. We compete with other schools and its a fun event to go to with family and friends.
