A post-introductory meeting open both to new and returning members is tentatively scheduled for September 29 (Friday B-Block).
ARCHIVE:
The TJHSST A Team (Wil, Avi, Seth, Helen, and Zack), representing the Chesapeake Bay Regional Bowl (Greater D.C. area), won 8th place at the National Competition held in Monterey, California. This netted our school money for textbooks and classroom materials, among other things. Beyond that, we had a great time in sunny Cali.. Check here for pictures from the trip.

Last Year's Tournament - Regionals: the Chesapeake Bay Bowl
Saturday February 11, 2006 at American University
Team A won the competition, and Team B took 3rd! (click here for list of team members.) This is the second straight victory for TJ at the Chesapeake Bay Bowl (we won last year too, and the year before that we competed in the Blue Crab Bowl) and marks the first year that TJ has ever had a second team compete. The other teams present were Montgomery Blair A (who took 2nd place), Montgomery Blair B, Winston Churchill (who won the Sportsmanship award), Georgetown Day School, North Hagerstown, and West Potomac. In May, Team A will compete in the National Ocean Sciences Bowl as the representative of the Chesapeake Area. Wish us luck!
(I've posted some pictures of our teams here.)
