About Us

Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving competition that exists in upwards of 25 different countries. It teaches valuable teamwork and objective thinking skills in addition to providing an entertaining environment in which students can interact and cooperate. The program involves problems ranging from purely skit performance to structure and device construction, and competitions exist at a local, state, and worldwide level.

Odyssey of the Mind is an extremely popular program within Thomas Jefferson High School, with numerous teams participating each year, including multiple for each problem. The Odyssey of the Mind program at TJHSST seeks to further expand and involve as many students as possible. Additionally, each year TJHSST hosts the Spontaneous Invitational, in which many schools within the area participate. The TJHSST Odyssey of the Mind Officer Corps is looking forward to another fantastic year of Odyssey of the Mind, and encourages all students to participate.
