COMING SOON: COTI Team Meeting Schedule

Our Awesome Forums

Greetings, fen! I'm Logan and I'm Eli Clizbe, and we're your co-presidents. I(Logan) am your hard sci-fi president, and Eli is your fantasy / translator for Logan's Big Words president. Eventually we'll get some actual content up here, displaying members' writings and illustrations (both artistic and technical). It's coming Real Soon Now. EDIT: Yes, this page is a year old. Updates are coming Real Soon Now.

We're still getting our schedule worked out for this year, but at the moment it looks something like this:

So. What do we do, exactly, you ask? Lots of stuff. Perhaps we should make a list. Good idea, Clizbe:

Questions We've Been Asked, Both Frequently & Not

  1. What is Planet TJ?
Planet TJ is the temporary name for the club worldbuilding project. When we feel like it or we just don't have anything else to do, we create maps, aliens, and planetary statistics and use those to figger out climates, biomes, and natural histories to fill out all the details of a complete, realistic alien planet. For a good example of another such project, see the Epona Project. With luck, we'll eventually complete most of a solar system to some degree, so if you want to get a group together to work on another planet in the TJ system, we've got the basic outlines of all the inner worlds worked out, so ask me(Logan) for the descriptions and pick one. If none of them are to your liking, we'll bring up the topic of revising the outlines in a meeting. Or, what the heck, you can start your own solar system! That's what worldbuilding is all about, right?
Oh, and one more thing: The name will not remain Planet TJ. 'Tis a cheesy name. We will be holding a contest to come up with a better permanent one.
  2. What is 'skiffy'?
*Slap* Silly non-fan. 'Tis 'scifi' spelled phoentically with a k.
  3. What does 'RPA' stand for?
Re-Published As, or Also Published As. The latter is not used in acronym form to avoid confusion with a certain bibliographic format.
