Introduction of the Club
As humans continue to build and expand, we will no doubt face new blockades - new diseases to be cured, new theories to be cracked, and new mysteries to be solved. When we do meet them, we will need the full backing of science and the scientists to overcome these obstacles. However, in this day and age, there is a scarcity of students willing to engage in the math and sciences as they grow older. Therefore, it is necessary that we do all that we can to stimulate students' interest in these fields. To this end, Science Frontiers is an endeavor to promote the general interest of the Thomas Jefferson community in any field of science through the writing of easy-to-understand and interesting scientific articles on cutting edge topics. Through this publication, we hope to draw more students to consider entering into math and science fields to help continue humanity's rapid progress into the twenty-first century.
Science Frontiers also has a secondary objective. As the future leaders in science and math researcher, today's students need to be aware and conscious of the newest advancements in scientific fields. Being mindful of such innovations, in turn, will help foster new ideas to be tested which will also assist in overcoming the problems, such as cancer and environmental pollution, previously mentioned. In this regard, Science Frontiers is informing those in the Thomas Jefferson community committed to science of the most recent experiments and results in any field of science, ranging from biology to physics to astronomy. It is our hope that this publication will help students brainstorm new thoughts and experiments that can be carried out in their college years and beyond and will, ultimately help make the world a better place for not only humanity but all of life.
