Current Projects
Retro Soc Hop- On Friday, January 14 the Optimists will be having a party, a Disco Inferno of a party! Admission will be $5, all profits go to the TJ Tsunami Fund.

The Three Little Pigs- The Optimists will go to the Phillips School for Contemporary Education again and performing Andrew Miller's adaptation of The Three Little Pigs on January 21, 2005.

Finished Projects

Tsunami Car Wash- On January 9, 2005, the Optimists braved the cold to wash some cars for Tsunami Relief. Despite the frigid conditions, we managed to raise $200 for the TJ Tsunami Fund.

Pasta for Pizza 04- This year's annual Pasta drive was a big success! We collected over 600 pounds of pasta for area food banks.

November 2004 Service Project- The Diane Is Ugly family will be organizing a day of volunteering at a soup kitchen over Thanksgiving weekend. Candy for Custodians: Optimists made and gave the custodians candy bags as an expression of our appreciation for all the work that they do for us each day.

Toiletries drive- This spring 2004 the Optimist's Club collected over two hundred packages of toothpaste and over two hundred toothbrushes to go with them for children living in the jungles of Peru.

Car Wash/Diabetes Walk- On Saturday, May 15, and Sunday, May 16, 2004 the Optimist's Club raised over $600 for diabetes research.

Cinderella- This Spring 2004 the Optimist's Club wrote, directed, and performed a play for the students at the Phillips School in Annandale.

Pasta For Pizza 03- This is an traditional Optimist's project. This past year, we collected over 3,000 boxes of pasta for Miriam's Kitchen in DC.
