Raghav Kasi
DirectorWassup Narcos, My name is Raghav, and I am absolutely thrilled to be your crisis director for the JCC: Battle of the Cartels, 1990 committee. As a current junior at TJ and a 3-year veteran of the team, I've experienced every committee type there is—and I can confidently tell you that nothing compares to the adrenaline rush a good crisis committee gives you. The JCC is always the bread and butter of TechMUN, so come prepared for an exciting and unpredictable conference.
When I am not thinking about MUN, you can see me running for the cross country and track teams or doing photography. In terms of what I am looking for in your crisis notes, I encourage you all to stray away from an arc around narcotics, and instead focus on tackling the various leadership/political tensions that exist in the two cartels. Remember, this is a joint-crisis committee, so plan your arcs around the fact that a decent portion of this conference will be centered around conflicts between the two cartels.

Neha Chandran
ChairHey guys! My name is Neha Chandran, and I’m a senior here at TJ. I’ve been doing MUN since middle school, and now I can’t imagine my life without it. MUN has taught me to step out of my comfort zone and not be afraid to take risks — even if it means embarrassing myself in front of the entire committee! From time management to effective communication, I can honestly say that I’ve learned so many valuable skills that I put to use every day. But moreover, I’ve met some of the most amazing people through MUN who’ve always been there for me, both in and out of committee.
Outside of MUN, I enjoy writing, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. In reality, you can probably find me binge watching Friends for hours or bullying Poorna about her 10pm bedtime. I’m thrilled to be your chair for JCC: Battle of the Cartels, 1990 and hope you guys are just as excited as I am for this committee. We value creativity and thinking outside the box, so we encourage you to go crazy with your directives. But above everything, we want you all to have fun and dive head-first into the unforgiving streets of Cali. If you have any questions or concerns, or even just want to say hi, email us at jcccali.techmun2025@gmail.com. Can’t wait to see you all soon :)

Poorna Prakash
ChairHi delegates! Welcome to JCC: Battle of the Cartels, 1990 – Cali! My name is Poorna, and I am one of your Chairs for our committee. I am a senior at TJ and have done MUN since 7th grade. MUN has always been so much fun for me, from the unpredictability of crisis arcs to the challenge of outmaneuvering your opponents. And let's be ho nest—it's kind of fun trying to get into a sphere where you can plot elaborate operations and gain power (or watch it slip through your fingers). Outside of MUN, you can find me reading(always taking book recs!) or spending time with friends(and yes, that means sometimes listening to Neha obsess over a new quantum topic of the day).
In Battle of the Cartels, 1990 – Cali, I want each of you to think like a kingpin. Make your moves strategically, negotiate ruthlessly, and never let your opponents see you sweat. The streets of Cali are unkind to the weak, and so is this committee. So, choose your allies wisely, watch your back, and remember that everyone has a price. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me, Neha, and Raghav at jcccali.techmun2025@gmail.com!
