Wassup Narcos, My name is Raghav, and I am absolutely thrilled to be your crisis director for the JCC: Battle of the Cartels, 1990 committee. As a current junior at TJ and a 3-year veteran of the team, I've experienced every committee type there is—and I can confidently tell you that nothing compares to the adrenaline rush a good crisis committee gives you. The JCC is always the bread and butter of TechMUN, so come prepared for an exciting and unpredictable conference.

When I am not thinking about MUN, you can see me running for the cross country and track teams or doing photography. In terms of what I am looking for in your crisis notes, I encourage you all to stray away from an arc around narcotics, and instead focus on tackling the various leadership/political tensions that exist in the two cartels. Remember, this is a joint-crisis committee, so plan your arcs around the fact that a decent portion of this conference will be centered around conflicts between the two cartels.

Siya Bulusu

Hello delegates! My name is Siya Bulusu and I’m so excited to be one of your chairs for TechMUN XXXI. I’m currently a senior at TJ, and this is my 6th year doing Model UN, and my third year as part of TJMUN. During the past four years, MUN allowed me to meet some of my closest friends and become a part of an amazing community. I have spent countless hours sitting through speeches, writing clauses, and stressing over my next mod. Through all that, I am forever grateful for the experiences I have gained through MUN. Model UN has helped me become a better speaker and collaborator, and given me valuable lifelong skills.

Outside of MUN, I usually spend my time stressing over another assignment, playing with my dog, and listening to music. As your chair, I can’t wait to see interesting speeches, ideas, and papers. My only goal as your chair is to see everyone put in their best efforts and work hard to become better speakers and collaborators. I cannot wait to see the amazing ideas everyone will come up with in committee and make this conference the best one yet!
