Hey guys! I'm Michelle Zuo, and I’m a junior who has been in Model UN for the past 4 years. Having started my MUN journey in 8th grade, I've participated in numerous conferences at both the middle and high school levels—so I completely understand what you're experiencing! What draws me to MUN is the incredible opportunity to make new friends (just like my amazing co-chair Surbhi). I love the versatility MUN offers—from researching topics and engaging in debates in General Assemblies to embodying fascinating characters in specialized committees.

When I'm not drafting resolutions or practicing parliamentary procedure, I'm somewhat of a math enthusiast, and I love exploring delicious food options. For our committee, I hope that each of you will develop your public speaking skills and venture beyond your comfort zones to try something new. This is your chance to grow!

Hi everyone! My name is Surbhi and I’m excited to be your co-chair for the Despicable Me committee! I’ve been doing MUN since 6th grade, and while it is a lot of speeches and working papers, MUN is so much more than a debate - my favorite memories from conferences include CVS runs for snacks, using half-processed chemistry lessons to blow up Disney World, and drinking a liter of Fanta at midnight (my roommates suffered). I’ve made amazing friends and hopefully, this TechMUN, you all get to make some memories and friends for yourselves. And on the rare occasion that MUN isn’t taking over my life, you’ll find me catching-up on sleep, doing physics (could never be a math kid like Michelle), calling my friends to procrastinate homework, or replaying bollywood songs. For our committee, I hope each of you gets a chance to have some fun with the topics and take a step outside of your comfort zones, whether it is giving an unscripted speech or doing Q&A instead of presentations.
