Background Guide

Adarsh Iruvanti

Chair

Hey everyone! Welcome to TechMUN XXXII! My name is Adarsh, and I’m honored to take the wheel as one of your chairs for the Run It Back, Turbo: The Creation of NASCAR, 1947 committee! This is my third year as a member of TJMUN, and I can proudly say that Model UN has been one of the most enjoyable and engaging parts of my high school experience. From making new friends and establishing connections with others to sharing speeches in front of a hundred delegates on global issues, and from witnessing the most creative arcs in committees to chairing a specialized committee myself, I’ve been able to improve at both public speaking and quick thinking. Whether this is your first or last conference, TechMUN is a fantastic opportunity to try new things, make new friends, and improve your skills, and I hope that this committee is able to help you achieve those endeavors.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends (especially badminton outdoors), listening to music, and speedsolving my Rubik’s cube. In this committee, we value delegates who can incorporate innovative solutions and directives, craft compelling speeches, and creatively adapt to the flow of the committee to the best of their ability. We also want to see you all exhibit strong leadership qualities whilst maintaining diplomacy with others. Regardless of your MUN experience, I encourage all of you to step out of your comfort zone, raise your placard, have fun, and give it your best shot! Lastly, if you have any questions or concerns for us about committee, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at nascartechmun2025@gmail.com. See you all in April!

Abhiram Chavali

Chair

Hey guys! I’m Abhiram, a junior at TJ and I’m excited to be your other chair for this committee. I started doing MUN two years ago in freshman year, but in that amount of time, it has become one of my favorite clubs and a big part of my life at this school. MUN has impacted me in many ways, like helping me get better at public speaking and better at thinking on my feet , so I hope TechMUN and your future MUN experiences will impact you in the same way. Outside of MUN, I enjoy playing video games, reading books, and spending time with my friends and family, at least when I’m not studying for my next test.

In this committee, I will be looking for delegates who are diplomatic, respectful, and aren’t afraid to be creative. It is also important to me that I see delegates that are able to show how well they work with others while still staying in power. Last but not least, I hope that everyone in this committee learns from their experiences here and has fun while doing so. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you! If you have any questions or concerns about this committee, please feel free to reach out to us at nascartechmun2025@gmail.com.
