Rushil Kukreja

Goooood Morning delegates! My name is Rushil Kukreja, and I’m a sophomore at TJ. This is my second year doing MUN, and I can’t wait to be one of your chairs for ECOFIN. Model UN has been one of the biggest and best parts of my high school experience, giving me some of my closest friends and shaping me into who I am today. From running around the streets of Williamsburg and Philadelphia, to planning opening speeches 15 seconds before I have the floor, to finding a way to be heard in a 75 delegation bloc, the exhilarating feeling of MUN is what I love most about it. While I may be one myself, I will never miss out on an opportunity to call someone a “MUN kid” - but if I say it at TechMUN, it’ll be a compliment. Outside of committee, you can catch me launching rockets, filling up entire whiteboards while solving physics problems, or spending time with my friends and family. Coming back to inside committee, we will be looking for delegates who truly represent what it means to model the United Nations. We will look for those who can command a room of people with compelling speeches, lead a group without being overpowering, and combine the ideas of dozens of individuals under an overarching solution for an international issue. Most importantly, we value collaboration, both with your double delegate partner and with others. Whether this is your first conference or your last, be sure to have fun. If you have any questions about this committee, MUN, TJ, or advice in general, feel free to contact us at ecofintechmun2024@gmail.com or reach out to me directly at rushilkukreja@gmail.com. I’d love to talk to all of you outside of just committee times. See you in April - good luck!

Shanna Chung

Hello everyone, welcome to ECOFIN! My name is Shanna Chung, and I am one of your chairs for this conference! I’m a sophomore at TJ, and I began MUN during my freshman year. Since my acceptance to TJ, Model United Nations has been and will continue to be a significant stepping stone throughout my high school career. I can confidently say that although I may be one of those “MUN kids,” I hold this club close to my heart. When I joined TJMUN as a freshman, I had no idea what was ahead for me. However, the late-night prep sessions with my partners, running three-way mergers as a freshman, and working with the upperclassmen gave me so many memories that I cherish. Although committee sessions can be stressful at times, I hope that each and every one of you are able to learn something new, whether it be standing up for yourself, facing your fears of public speaking, or collaborating with others. Outside of committee, you can almost always find me reading and annotating a book, playing in the Jefferson Symphony, watercoloring flowers, and my favorite of all, baking desserts. Feel free to share any good recipes with me! Coming back to ECOFIN, as the committee progresses, I will be looking for delegates who are enthusiastic, well-spoken, and collaborative with others. Although this TechMUN XXXI may be many of your first ever conferences, go into it with an open mind and see what you can accomplish! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at ecofintechmun2024@gmail.com, or chungshanna7@gmail.com directly! I wish all of you the best of luck; see you guys in April!
